Cats top Lady Titans in finale

Arcadia’s furious fourth-quarter rally fell short Friday night at Saguaro, as the Lady Titans fell 54-43 to the Sabercats in their final regular-season game.

Down by 17, 48-31, early in the fourth, the Lady Titans reeled off 12 straight points to pull within five, 48-43. They did not score on the final 2:11, however, to drop their second straight game heading into next week’s state playoffs.

Gianna Grumbein led Arcadia scorers with 11 points. Taylor Steger and Megan Gillespie added 10 each. Kylie Herd had 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Lady Titans finished 23-4 on the season, 14-3 in division play.
