Arcadia fell to Notre Dame Prep 12-2 Tuesday, eliminating the Titans from the Division II state championship tournament.

As Arcadia prepares to face Notre Dame on the road Tuesday in the second round of the state championship tournament, they have to be feeling a lot better than they did a few weeks ago.

If Arcadia leadoff man Brendan Satran stole as much off the baseball diamond as he does on it, they’d have to lock him up and throw away the key.

Slapped, smacked, wacked, swatted, popped. You name it, Arcadia did it to Greenway in the fourth inning Saturday, opening the state championship playoffs with a 5-1 victory at home.

Gary Cornish pitched a complete game shutout Friday on the road, and Arcadia run-ruled Moon Valley 12-0 in five innings in the regular-season finale.

The Arcadia Titans gathered together for a heart-to-heart in the outfield Thursday after the Saguaro Sabercats beat them 10-3 at home.

The sun had started to set in foul territory in deep right Monday by the time the Arcadia Titans shuffled out of the visiting team’s dugout after losing 6-5 in 10 innings to the Sunnyslope Vikings on the road.

Though the game lasted seven innings, the Arcadia Titans made quick work of the Washington Rams on Thursday, winning 7-0 on the road.
