Kids and adventuresome adults are making Skypark one of the hottest new hangouts in Arcadia.

The indoor trampoline park had its grand opening January 20 and boasts 26,000 square feet filled with trampoline dodge ball, volleyball and basketball courts. There’s also a 5,000-square-foot main jump arena, a foam pit and a trampoline area designated for kids 7 and under.

Party tables run through the main floor, and there’s a large glass-enclosed room separate from the main area for large parties and corporate events. If jumpers get hungry, Skypark offers pizzas from Mamma Mia Pizza, which is located in the same center.

One way Skypark is unique from other trampoline parks is its sunken trampoline pits. They are between 3 and 6 feet below ground level, giving the pits a stadium-like feel. Jumpers can show off their moves in full view of spectators looking down on the action.

Mark Svejda, co-owner of the park, said he is thrilled with the turnout so far.

“We were packed on opening day, and MLK Day was even busier,” Mark said. “Everyone seems to be having a great time.”

That was good news for the Boy Scouts of America Arcadia Troop 6, which received $1,500 of the opening-day proceeds to benefit their summer camp program.

Skypark also has established the “Get Active” fundraising program, which plans to raise more than $100,000 for schools, churches and other organizations throughout the Valley.

Skypark is located at the intersection of East Indian School Road and 40th Street. For more information, call 602-732-4000.
