“Coffee with a Cop,” monthly, hour-long meetings during which members of a community are invited to meet the Phoenix police officers who work in their neighborhoods, came to Arcadia in April as part of an effort to make the Mountain View Precinct gatherings more accessible to the large precinct’s varied residents.

Green is the new blonde. And many are noticing.

About 100 volunteers of the Greening Pat's Run team will be at the 8th annual Pat’s Run in Tempe Saturday to help make the event more sustainable and environmentally friendly, Michelle Schmoker, one of the founders of Greening Pat's Run said.

Scottsdale resident Richard Simonsen is a wildlife photographer who has followed California Condors at the Grand Canyon since the early 2000s. Simonsen has taken photos of Condors only to find years later that some of them had perished from lead poisoning.

Three young Arcadians will be riding their bikes across the country this summer, seeking adventure and hoping to raise money for charity.
